Doing Business with BYU

Thank you for your interest in becoming a supplier to Brigham Young University (BYU) in Provo, Utah.

Organizations interested in doing business with BYU should first contact BYU Purchasing at (801) 422-3872 or purchasing@byu.edu to establish a business relationship with the University. Suppliers must be approved and established in BYU’s systems before a purchase order can be issued, a contract can be executed, or any other business relationship can begin.

Please note: If you are interested in doing business with BYU-Idaho or BYU-Hawaii, please contact their purchasing offices directly at 208-496-2310 and 808-293-3951, respectively.

Supplier Expectations

BYU is committed to ensuring that all products and services provided by suppliers effectively meet the University's needs. We expect suppliers to understand and respect BYU’s mission and to conduct business with professionalism, integrity, and ethical standards.

Supplier representatives should not accept verbal orders from University personnel unless accompanied by a valid purchase order or authorized University purchasing card. Orders or agreements entered into by unauthorized personnel are not binding on the University. Suppliers are encouraged to familiarize themselves with BYU’s Purchase Order Terms and Conditions.

Workday

BYU utilizes Workday as its e-procurement platform for managing supplier relationships and processing purchases.

If your organization currently does business with BYU but is not yet established in Workday, please contact the appropriate BYU buyer responsible for your commodity or service category for information about becoming a contracted supplier.

Organizations that are not currently approved suppliers may be considered for inclusion in Workday after establishing a business relationship with BYU.

Office Location and Hours

The Purchasing and Travel Office is located in Room 119 of the East Campus Central Building on 9th East.

Office Hours:

• Weekdays: 8:00 am to 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm
• Note: Our office is closed on Tuesdays from 10:45 am to 1:00 pm for University devotionals.
