Grooming Standards for vendors on campus
Doing Business with BYU
Thank you for your interest in becoming a supplier to Brigham Young University (BYU), located in Provo, Utah. All vendors need to contact BYU Purchasing to establish a business relationship with the University. Vendors need to be set-up prior to an order being placed with a vendor, or prior to any contractual relationship or other type of affiliation with a vendor. Note: If you wish to do business with BYU-Idaho or BYU-Hawaii, please contact their purchasing offices at 208-496-2310 or 808-293-3951, respectively.
Vendor Expectations
Our goal is to ensure that vendor products and services meet the needs of BYU. We expect vendors to understand BYU’s mission and conduct their business professionally and ethically.
Vendor sales representatives must not accept a verbal order from University personnel without a valid purchase order, or credit card. All orders and contracts signed by unauthorized personnel will not be valid. All vendors should be familiar with BYU’s Purchase Order Terms and Conditions.
Y-Marketplace
BYU has established an e-procurement system, Y-Marketplace to facilitate placing vendor orders. If you are a current BYU vendor and are not on our Y-Marketplace, please contact the agent over your commodity for more information about becoming a contracted supplier on our system. If you are not a BYU vendor, we can discuss the possibility of adding your company to our Y-Marketplace system once you become a BYU vendor.
Office Location and Hours
The Purchasing and Travel office is located in, C-40 Abraham Smoot Building (ASB). Office hours are 8:00 AM to noon and 1:00 PM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, except Tuesday when the office is closed, 10:45am to 1:00pm for University devotionals.

Delivery of Goods
The delivery of goods sent by common carrier is centralized to these two locations:
- US Mail, FedEx, and UPS packages are delivered to BYU Mail Services at 701 E. University Parkway, Provo, UT 84602. Phone (801) 422-3872.
- LTL shipments are delivered to 2350 N. Freedom Blvd, Provo, UT 84602. Phone (801) 422-4724.
